Step 1. The first session - YOUR FIRST SESSION IS ALWAYS FREE!
Before we start your SIMPLY STRONGER program, we will sit down together and quickly go through a short health questionnaire, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and then go over exactly what it is you will do and how. Together we will plan a routine that will work for you. We'll decide on a place to work out and the best times for you. We'll decide together which sorts of equipment (or not) you will use. You can get more clarity about this in the Simply Stronger e-book but you will have lots of time to ask questions, and I always encourage you to do so.
I will keep track of your progress, so that you can see for yourself how quickly you can gain strength with only 60 minutes a week.
Once you and I are comfortable with the plan, we will do a demo so that you can feel what it's like to perform the Simply Stronger technique. We’ll spend plenty of time during the first session making sure the movements are clear and well understood. There's always time for questions before, during, and after the session. I want you to eventually understand this so well that you could teach it to someone else, even if you don't ever do that. It has to make sense to you, and you have to understand why you are doing each and every part of the program.
Here's the most important part: All you need to do is the Simply Stronger movements, and I do everything else. I set up the weights or machine for you, I take the weights off for you, I put them away, I count the time, I write down your progress and I answer any and all questions you have. I am there for you. All you need to do is focus on the movement; slowly, safely and focused.

Step 2. Sessions 2 through 6 - The learning curve.
Now you've officially started! Congratulations, you're on the road to a stronger body!
Generally, the learning period - or curve - is around 6 workouts long, and most people see positive results even during this learning period. There's still plenty of time for questions, and I even welcome e-mails. This is a critical period because many of the concepts I will teach you are so different from what has been more popular lately (cardio, cross-fit, aerobics, sets+reps etc.) that questions are sure to surface. Please, please! Ask away! That's why I'm here.
We'll open up a file for you and go through a more thorough health questionnaire, make sure it's safe for you to start the program (ask your doctor if you're not sure) and do a full session.
The first few sessions, are also a time of very rapid growth. Many people who have gone through the program with me, choose to have more regular sessions in the beginning. Some like to do it every 5-6 days, some even twice a week. This is ok in the beginning, because the body and brain are learning new things, stimulating your physiology (or what I call the Growth State, read about it here.)Eventually, rest in between sessions needs to be set to at least 7 days. This is why you can eventually do Simply Stronger once a week for only 60 minutes and still get results. Your body needs rest in between the sessions. I'll explain all this as we go through the program. But in the beginning it's less important, and once a week or more if you like is just fine.
Step 3. Keep Growing!
In the first few months, you'll see the most dramatic changes. Yes, that's correct, it only takes a year. After this rapid growth period, you will start moving towards maintenance. You'll still be getting stronger but at a slower pace. This is normal and good. This means you have almost reached your maximum muscle growth. Your body is now stronger!
Step 4. Maintenance
You are now a pro. You don't need me anymore. You know how to exercise properly. You don't spend hours in the gym to maintain the strength you've gained, and you have all the strength and stamina you need to do the things in your life your stronger body can now allow you to do. Keep being SIMPLY STRONGER and enjoy life! And don't worry, I'll always be there if you need me, as often as you like.
