A demonstration will be offered for free on Thursday, October 24th, at 7pm, at Gym Expert, 5959 Verdun Avenue, Verdun. This demonstration will allow you to see what a typical Simply Stronger session looks like, understand the concepts of high intensity training, and watch Randall Lightbown with one of his clients. You will also have the chance to sign up for a free individual session with Randall. In the electronic edition of La Presse+ on July 30th, the Pause Santé section (Health Break), featured an article by Vanessa Fontaine on the importance of strength training (L'importance de la musculation). She quotes Guy Thibault, Associate Professor at the Department of Kinesiology at University de Montreal: "We physical training specialists, have sinned for perhaps a decade now, by boasting the merits of cardio respiratory training and have largely neglected the value of strength training.", the article continues with Timothy Caulfield’s book The Cure for Everything, in which he says: “…if I was forced to pick one activity to place highest on the priority list, it would be intense resistance training… and you can get all of the benefits you’d expect from going to a gym, with intense resistance training”. There are many other articles of which several in the New York Times, describe the benefits of strength training. One such article quotes Dr. Hunter where he delivers the message “…less may be more…” Randall Lightbown has worked in the health field for over 15 years.
